Suenita Mackay is a seasoned Food and Feed Safety and Quality Consultant, Auditor, and Facilitator with nearly 20 years of industry expertise spanning the entire food value chain. As Lead Consultant at MiChem Dynamics, she has become a trusted authority in designing, implementing, and strengthening safety and quality systems that drive both compliance and resilience.
Beginning her career in 2005, Suenita built a strong foundation in quality assurance and food safety within leading food production environments. Since joining MiChem Dynamics in 2018, her consulting career has significantly expanded her scope, giving her exposure to an exceptional range of industries and challenges. She has partnered with clients across Africa in sectors as diverse as poultry, meat processing, dairy, fresh produce, prepared meals, packaging, warehousing, distribution, animal feed, and pet food — and many more, too numerous to list. This wide-ranging experience has equipped her with a unique ability to adapt global standards to local realities, offering tailored solutions that are both practical and sustainable.
Her technical expertise spans FSSC 22000 v6, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP (SANS 10330), BRCGS, GMP, AFMA, AFRI, FAMI-QS, Global GAP, and food defence frameworks. She has led internal, supplier, and third-party audits, supported businesses through complex regulatory environments, and guided organisations in audit readiness, crisis management, and traceability.
As a certified assessor, moderator, and facilitator, Suenita has trained and mentored hundreds of professionals in food safety, GMP, HACCP, root cause analysis, and regulatory compliance. She is widely respected for her ability to translate complex requirements into practical strategies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
